The High Country of
Western North Carolina is the area that encompasses
Avery, Watauga, Ashe and counties west (Mitchell,
Yancey, etc.). Our focus is mainly within the
areas in and around Avery and Watauga counties.
The towns of Blowing Rock, Boone, Valle Crucis,
Sugar Grove, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain and Linville
are all located within just a few miles of each
other, and each provides wonderful lifestyles and
scenery that make the High Country the popular place
that it is.
